1. Data Controller

share.cards ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy-related enquiries, please contact us at support@share.cards.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: email address, full name, and profile photo — required at registration.
  • Profile content: contact fields (phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, addresses, custom fields) and labels/tags that you create.
  • Access request data: optional messages submitted when requesting access to a profile.
  • Billing data: subscription tier and customer identifiers managed by our payment processor (LemonSqueezy). We do not store full card details.
  • Usage data: server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, retained for up to 30 days.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

  • Account management and service delivery — necessary for the performance of our contract with you.
  • Billing and subscription management — necessary for the performance of our contract and compliance with legal obligations.
  • Customer support — based on our legitimate interest in resolving issues and improving the service.
  • Service security and fraud prevention — based on our legitimate interest in keeping the platform secure.
  • Optional communications — with your consent, where applicable.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Account settings page, which will permanently remove all associated data. Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and then automatically purged.

5. Your Rights (GDPR — EU/EEA)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to restriction: request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.

  • Right to opt-out of sale: we do not sell personal information to third parties.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

7. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside the European Union. Where this occurs, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission — to protect your data in accordance with GDPR requirements.

8. Cookies

We use only functional and session cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the service (e.g. keeping you logged in). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is required because we do not place non-essential cookies.

9. Third-Party Services

  • LemonSqueezy — payment processing and subscription management. Acts as Merchant of Record and handles EU VAT, US taxes, and global tax compliance. See LemonSqueezy's Privacy Policy.
  • Email delivery provider — transactional emails (magic login links, notifications) are delivered via a third-party SMTP provider. Email content is processed only to deliver the message and is not used for any other purpose.
